Hey I was wondering why it is so much more to get more upload speed v getting more download speed... I can up my download by 1.5mb, to 5.5mbs, for about $20 extra...  I am currently getting about 4200kbs... They dont even offer to up the upload...  When you look at some of the heavy ended upload packages they are so much more than if you just have a hell lot of download... So i guess my question is why?

And why is there no way you can improve your upload speed by tweaking?

Wish I could:
::::::::::.. Upload Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is: 14 Kbps about 0 Mbps (tested with 97 KB)
Upload Speed is: 2 kB/sec
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line: 0 times faster than 56K you can upload 1MB in 512 second(s)
Validation Link :: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=I464JQVSU

Damn, that must be a record...

Because if they gave you a package that had killer upload... you would run servers and take too much bandwidth... also, the ISPs won't give you that much upload because that is what business class connections are for....... you can get it... but your gunna PAY!

In Singapore and a bunch of other countries, I have seen people with 10-100Mbps symmetric connections (the same up and down) ~ and they also pay less than us (but for some of those countries the cost is still unaffordable) --- the sad thing is that they often won't get speeds that fast unless the servers are close by ~~ blah blah blah ~~~~~~~ Anyway, if your ISP gave you a dope connection for say $50/month or even $100 that offered awesome upload speed also - why would you even think about buying a business class connection that would most likely cost 10X that amount??  People that REALLY need huge upload speed... are usually the ones that are REALLY interested in paying for it Smile ~ Smart system, and it keeps the price that WE pay for internet down Wink
