Is this normal? It looks reallllllly slow.

I am on Comcast Broadband cable internet, and I use Windows 98 SE. My results look a little slow to me, expecially the upload.

BTW, what is the difference between upload and download? Does my slow upload speed effect how fast it takes to d/l mp3s?

Upload does seem slower when using Win98 instead of WinXP, but that's just my experience with it. My upload is slow either way.

Download speed is how fast you can receive data from a server.

Upload speed is how fast you can transmit data to someone. It has no influence on how fast you can download. It just tends to be small in comparison with download, because you don't need that much. Unless you want to host a server, but then you'll have to pay much more to get more upload.

I am running windows 2000 pro... My upload is a little slow also right now... Rolling Eyes
