when  i try to save a picture from a random website by right clicking onit and clickin on save .. the only format it saves it is bmp..so when i try to say an animated gif pic, it saves it in bmp and same to other formats..why is this? also the name for the pic is always " untitled" before it would have the name that the creator made for it..why is this happening? is there a way to change it ? thanks alot

That's ok.

As for how to save the image as it's original type I can't help, but someone here probably can soon. You should post what OS and browser you are using to get help faster.

if you know the image type, make sure you save it with that extension... this problem comes up when images are put in pages via CGI scripts, etc, and not a direct link...

Usually this is caused when your Tempory Internet files folder is full.  go to Internet Options either through control panel or by going to Tools>Internet Options in IE and in the General tab in the middle of the window you will see a Delete Files button in a frame called Temporary Internet files.  Click it.  It may take a few minutes depending on the size set up for temporary files, but this should resolve the problem.
