broadband

Hi I'm a complete novice in the PC world so bear with me, I receive my broadband through a set top box via NTL cable network with that I receive a basic TV package, I have been told that its possible to "piggyback" the broadband signal and receive some of the other movie & music channels for free, is this possible or have I been listening to too much bulls**t?

It sounds illegal to me. There some web sites where you can view short movies and music online for free (e.g.:Ifilm.com or Atomfilms) though. They aren't TV stations though.

It is illegal but you can use a 2GHz splitter to split your broadband internet and cable TV so you can get some of the channels.
