sorry for a dumb question but im a nood.......if i am on a cable connection of 6500/384 Kbps.....whats the average upload speed i can expect?is it 48Kbps?

you could expect speeds slightly below your upload cap of 384Kbps

lets say im using bittorent......my upload speed can actually go up to 300plus???? it never got up more than 40Kbps though

do you mean 40Kbps or 40kB/s?
384 Kbps is 46.88 kB/sec

Which bittorent client are you using? I would set your upload to 80% of your maximum upload.

yeah its noob....typo....and whats the diff between kB/s and Kbps/s ????? aint it the same? im using bitspirit

Kbps, Mbps, etc. are internet speed measurements. KB, MB, GB, etc. are file sizes. BTW the ps stands for per second.You can go here for a conversion chart. http://testmy.net/tools.php

geeeeez i am not THAT noob...i know what kb and mb are....but WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN kB/s and Kbps/s and it the same?? doesnt both of that means the same....kB/s=kilobyte per second...........Kbps/s=kilobyte per second per second
