i have verizon dsl that is running very slow can someone please help. i am using a westell versalink 327W dsl modem/router on windows xp sp2 with one computer connected by ethernet and one wirelessly
here are the test specifications:

not sure what all this means but the connection is a lot slower than verizon says it should be. can someone please help!!!!!!!

look for a program called adjuster on cablenut if you have not already. see if that helps.

Sorry all. I have to disagree with you on this one. That is forsure not a tweak issue or fix. He has either a bad connection or some major major virus issues.

i dont know how far i am from my isp, does anyone know how to find the distance from isp

also there are not any viruses, i have good virus protection and i just installed xp a couple of weeks ago.

i am still trying all of the tweaks that were listed, thanks for all of the suggestions.

Just to throw in my 2cents.  When I called verizon today about upgrading to the faster 3.0 Mbps, they checked what I have now and said that the .7Mpbs was what they were offering when I signed up a year or so ago.  They have upgraded it to 3Mpbs and said I should see the diference in a day or two depending on the backlog of people getting upgraded.  So you might want to give verizon a call in addition to the advice you get from the helpful folks here on the forum.
