The log viewer is used to see who and what are connecting with your router... It is really useful if you think people are stealing your service.... What the log viewer will tell you is when people connected, when the dhcp is renewed and other stats that can be helpful to IT people.... The log runs with out a desktop running on the router... It is run by the internal processor on the router itself and it stored in the ram onboard...

You should be able to connect via wireless...  open IE and type 192.168.1.245  Then click the log tab on the top.. I am going off the tech support guide for the WAP54G.. It might be a little different for you... If the Log isnt turned on just turn it on and then check back in a little while... otherwise you can start looking at what your router has been doing for quite a while...

Sorry about that... that was the config menu for the AP (access point) not the wireless router... The correct address is 192.168.1.1  Then just take a look around... you cant do any damage if you dont change anything...

ok I found it...Wow does Linksys' support suck ass.. Rolling Eyes   Linksys help

Here is what the article says just incase that link doesnt work..

Quote
The Reporting tab provides you with a log of all incoming and outgoing URLs or IP addresses for your Internet connection. It also provides logs for VPN and firewall events.

To Enable the logs on the WAG54G, please do the following:
1.      Open a web browser (either Internet Explorer or Netscape).

2.      Type the IP address of the router into the ”Address” bar (192.168.1.1 is the default IP address of the WAG54G).

3.      When the” User name” and” Password” prompt appears, type in the router’s “User name” and “Password”, (admin is the router’s default “User name” and “Password”) and click OK or press the [Enter] key.

4.      The Setup page should appear. Press the Administration tab and click on Reporting.

5.      The Reporting page should appear. Select Enabled on the Log and specify the IP address of the computer to receive the logs on the field. Click Save settings.

To view the logs manually, Click on the View Logs button.
