hey yall im having a problem, and i cant figure it out. On my Internet explorer when im at a site, and i click on a link and a new window opens. The page wont load? I haft to click stop then refresh to load? I notice to when i do windows updates the download box stays on preparing to download and that it. I ran spybot, defrag harddrive. and alote of other stuff. Im using Mozilla firefox , and the pages load slow? can anyone help

Having the same problems at certain sites. IE just slows down to a crawl...

Running a full virus test now. 3 viri found, two of those known. Damn pop-ups.

download firefox.. hit microsoft update and get the security patch for IE6... you might also have been hijacked... check out this program.. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4086.html

When my dad is downloading? I think so too. I don't want to wait 15 hours for the download to finish.

Ya...  that is a good site. I got my cwshredder there.With IE6 it is a must to upde the patch. I swear by SpyBot! The "Tea Time" option lets know when a hijack is taking place. Is especially helpful if ya have to go to a "sleazy" site for one reason or another. :rolleyes2: I found out the hard way that al lot of those cool  "free" animated graphis as in Hotbar are feeding grounds for pop-ups. There iare some good util'st http://analogx.com/ has a good port-mapper&blocker and lots of other goodies. They are all very simple to run and the doc's are shorter than this post I am running 3 audio streams and http server on this old P3 and it's still kicking..
