Hi, im new and while I am tech savy I am not as educated as probably should be on internet speed. I have Cox and DL at a lil over 4M, I cant get the upload to work but I will get that in a sec, prolly something im doing wrong.  I have Cox, anywho what are you people doing that you need all this speed. No matter where I DL from especially File Share programs and what not I dont get my full speed, am I doing something wrong? Is there a P2P or other means of sharing files that will allow me to DL fast? I tried torrent but that seems to be garbage. Any help would be appreciated and any quick fix for my upload speed test problem would be great. Great boards I look forward to learning alot. And if I have said anything stupid please dont flame me I realise I am dumb at times and need not be told. Thanks.

If you want to download in 4Mbps+ from someone on kazza it requires that the user you download from has a upload speed thats 4Mbps+ too, and thats very rare.

Make speed test here and post result like this

Your upload dosent work at all?

Do you have a firewall? If so try disable it

It does the test and all then when its through it goes to a blank screen with submit!!! wirtten like that and in red but no link no results.

It does the same to me, i tested with the Large 579kb file, heres a pic:


I tried teh Small and Medium files too and it gives me the same thing...

That test was taken with FireFox...when i take the Upload test with Internet Explorer, it works fine...heres a pic:


Is firefox just not compatible with the Upload test? download works fine.

It's worked fine in IE ~~ I just changed something the other day and I guess my syntax was bad for Mozilla ~~ try it now and let me know Smile

ok you dont have a firewall on your router... Laughing  it is NAT... basically what it does it prevent intrusions through ports that are close... but as soon as you open them or a program opens them... It isnt a good think... get a software firewall if you are that conserned...

Yep... NAT won't have any problem with my tests... nor anything normal you do... Now there is hardware firewalls, but your router is just NATing
