Yeah thats What Ive been Hearing Since Late November
But People here I(owa)  who have gotten the VoIP are already getting 10 Mbps speeds
heard that is going to come to an end soon though as Mediacom will be capping them

Sheesh We are Speed Happy
I Remember Just Thinking it was nice having 256 speeds
Now When Mediacom Does Maintenance or the Highways Congested  just losing any amount of bandwidth sucks

You guys are pretty lucky. I live in Clearlake (The mediacom land of the forgotten) and we cant even keep stable connections around here. We constantly lose the net anytime someone in their building sneezes... (well possibly not that bad but i spend alot of time down instead of up)

I was having big trouble. I had the 5 mb and was also getting speeds at around 1 mb. Around a month ago they came, and gave me a new modem and it was fine for a little while. I than upgraded to a 10 mb and it was going at around 3 to 5 mb for most the time with upload around 330. I also seen a truck when I went to school, and when I came home from school that day close to my area(not my street but a few blocks) they said they had to split the node because I was on a high node. Lately i've tryed and got speeds around 8 mbs and 900 upload so I think they fixed the node problem for now atleast. I guess I was on same node as college.Last test I ran, and right now is a time probably alot of people are on(720 pm)

Mediacom has been doing alot of "work" around here. It appears that they are finaly having to modernize at least a little bit of the stuff around here because there realy pushing their 10 meg "Max" service in my area. Sadily though their "improvements" have ment alot more down time, alot more time where the net functions but at sub 1 meg speeds and some days where you cant even keep connection  for more than 30 minutes at a time.

I cant honestly wait to move out of Mediacom land and into somewhere that the cable modem service is a lot better in.

Ya, I will admit the last few months have been hell. They were telling me like 2 months ago they were going to split it, but it appears they finally did it. For a while I was getting speeds in like 1 mb like I said.
