Check it out...RCN Cable upgrade from about 10 minutes ago to the "Mach 7" package:

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 6881 Kbps about 6.9 Mbps (tested with 2992 KB)
Download Speed is:: 840 kB/sec
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 123 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 1.22 second(s)

upload improved slightly but is still gypsy ghetto in comparison:

Connection is: 383 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 97 KB)
Upload Speed is: 47 kB/sec

Bottom Line: 7 times faster than 56K you can upload 1MB in 21.79 second(s)

Yeah, that's about what I get too.  I get about 7200kB/s down on one way.  Testing still shows 3500 at best here though, so I totally give up now with testing.
