I have no idea. Here is an old one.

Father and son in a bad car accident. The father is killed on impact. The son is rushed to the hospital. The doctor comes in say my god I can not operate on him he is my son.....Who is the doctor............

Ok heres one. A man lives on the 20th floor of an apartment building. Everyday he comes home and gets in the elevator and takes it to the 10th floor and gets off then takes the stairs the rest of the way to his apartment. Why does he do this. Not a trick question either, he doesnt just do it because he wants to.

Ok here's one I learned from a high school algebra teacher:

3 ladies split a hotel room at a cost of $30, and leave their luggage at the lobby to be brought up.  The manager realizes that he has overcharged them, as the rate is only $25, and sends a bellboy to their room with the luggage and the $5 refund.  The bellboy arrives at the room, and the ladies issue him a $2 tip for his services.  This leaves $3 remaining, divided to equal $1 refund each.  Therefore, each lady has paid $9.  But wait:  3 x $9 = $27 + $2 (in the bellboy's pocket) = $29 total.  So where did the other dollar from the original $30 go??

It's a play on words.....but if you do the math it works out, provided you do it correctly!

total spent $30.00.....over charged.....returned $5.00.....gave tip......OK this is how it really works out.....

3 ladies paid $25.00 for room=$8.33  check 3 x $8.33= $24.99....yeah OK they all split a third of a penny if your picking nits!
 
the $5.00 refund....$2.00 goes to tip 1 dollar to each lady (3)......so there is not1 dollar left, as you put it!

That's it, you got it!  The statement 3 x $9 = $27 + $2 (in the bellboy's pocket) = $29 total is true in the math, and follows logically, but doesn't apply sequencially to what's going on.  Essentially: $25 for the room + $2 tip to even it out at $9 each, + $1 refund each...adds up to $30, and there you have it.  Good job Buzz!

ok, so you're driving a bus, and it has 3 people on it.  Next stop, 1 gets off, 2 get on.  Drivin along, the next stop 2 peeps get on.  Next stop, 3 ppl get off, 4 get on.  Next stop, 1 dude gets off.  When you arrive at the terminal, everybody gets off.  What colour are the bus driver's eyes?
