yea i guess i am abit lucky Smile

I never thought i was ever goin over 6 Mbps overseas, testing this server in NY was almost like a shock lol, had to trace it to make sure it was in NY for sure.

I have a very clean route to this server, strait from Stockholm to NY, usally my route go to NL and UK first.

Yea, current cap is 10 Mbps up and 10 Mbps down, ISP started a new service a few months ago, so i can upgrade to 100 Mbps if i add 37 USD/ month.

Yea i will ask him to make the test, my guess is that he will run over 50 Mbps cos this route is rock solid and both AOL and OOL servers probl got a major backbone

I think US will have fiber to thier homes soon aswell, but the government has to pay atleast 50% of the fiber digging, atleast thats what they did here.

Here we got city fibergrids, owned my one company, you pay a rent to use the fibernet. Then you have to contact a ISP that the netowner has a contract with, here in Luleå we have 3 diffrent isp to choose from, but hey this is a small town 75 000 ppl. Once the fibergrid is installed, competition will be better.

My house is not connetcted to that grid, i live in a rent department and our house owner has hes own fiberoptic grid, we cant choose any other ISP on this net, atleast not yet.....

I also got IP telephone by fibernet, alot cheeper then regular analog net. I call free to any one on same net aswell.

I guess there a some benefits to haveing a socialist economy, lol.  The US government would probably never invest the money required for that kind of a project.
