It happened to me before what i had my old computer a couple of years ago, the switch just broke, you need to carry it into the customer service if you have warranty or just get it to repair shop and they'll fix it for you (im not 100% sure if its the switch that broke, but thats what happened in my case)

Supreme1 Have you had your case off recently? If you have it may have some kind of security you need to reset.

I am guessing that the red light on the motherboard is not a good thing..  I am going to need some more info.. was this a custom built computer? is the ling on the inside normally green?  If you could throw a picture of this "light" and the pc itself that would be a huge help..

I am going to guess it is either motherboard related.. aka you might have distroyed it.. or it is ps related.. might have blown the power supply..

does the comp itself turn on and the monitor never light up with the windows logo?  mine did that once and the video card fan broke and it overheated.  the lights came on but nothing on the screen and as soon as i put a new card it was fine

We need more info on the computer as far as what it has for hardware. Did you get a manual with it? It should tell you what the light being green means. Do the fans spin when you turn it on or do you just get the light?

If you want to know what it has for hardware you can download the trial of everest http://www.lavalys.com/

That will tell you what you have for hardware ;)

Will definitely need to know your motherboard. That'll get things rolling as we'll be able to find documents on the board.

Visit the link that lorne provided and download the home version of Everest. Install and report what type of MB you have.
