Well my linksys modem is acting up... put my motorola 5120 on and my speed dropped down to the actual cap Sad --- it was good while it lasted (I was getting about 5Mbps), I think I may send that modem to linksys for a replacment.

Bah, bad luck I guess.  Well hey, at least you are getting what you are capped at.  I get about 2.4 Mbps, and I pay for 3.

The linksys kicked ass... I ran it for a year with no problem.  The motorolat still doesn't perform as good as the linksys did.

I have a dlink and I agree it is pretty much crap because like I said it is blocking me from running any kind of server through it. I have put the server in dmz zone to and still it blocks it I have also setup port forwarding and it still blocks it it is a peace of crap I agree!!!!

i have linksys befw11sr wireless b broadband router and it works quite well
one thing i didnt like was that the wireless was really slow at first, but then i went into one of the options and changed something called "1-2Mbps" to "1-2-5.5-11Mbps" and now the wireless connection runs just as fast as the computers wired to the router

the only prob with linksys i've had is that it sometimes does something weird and doesnt get my RR ip and dns servers, so i have to reset it and 'install' it again with the cd that came with it

I don't know why I have never heard of such a setting.... how fast are you getting in speed tests?!?!  Is it 802.11b or 802.11g??  Everytime I have ever put a computer on my wireless I always get way slower... then again I have a 1st generation Netgear wireless 802.11b router ~~  But it still should get 11 Mbps...
