I have the Comcast 8000/768 package. I'm currently up to date with spybot, ad aware, and avast antivirus. I also use ccleaner for my pc. I still have speeds that bounce up and down all day everyday. I did a ping test to yahoo.com and it came out to be 82 ms. I have an average ping of about 52 ms when I pinged multiple sites. I am gonna post the traceroute from my pc to testmy.net. Maybe one of you could be so helpful as to make a cablenut file that gets me 90% of my advertised speed. It would be greatly appreciated. All I ask is that you set it up to have some browser speed as well. As always, I appreciate all you do for me. Here is that traceroute. traceroute to www.testmy.net (67.18.179.85), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets

Are you using a router? Because your first hop should not time out. If you are, try directly connecting your computer to your modem.
