I will make a file for your MSS aswell, just redownload vanburens_cablenut_settings.zip again

after your help my speed is has increased but not significantly. My mtu is 1400, mss is 1360 and rwin 65280. Here is the message that i get when configuring my connection."MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput."

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 2538 Kbps about 2.5 Mbps (tested with 1496 KB)
Download Speed is:: 310 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 45 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 3.3 second(s)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=FLDFEJKJD

Im sorry but there is no way to get a higher MTU, that is set by your ISP service

MTU 1500 or 1400 has very small impact on speed in 3 Mbps range, the thing thats most important is that your MSS is multiple with your RWIN, thats why you should use the RWIN calculator in "advansed" steps in my tweakguide.

You can try even higher RWIN values, just remember If your calculated RWIN is above 65535, you need to set Tcp13230pts to 1

Good luck

Smile You can set the max MTU using this link ...but as Van Buren said I dont think it will have much effect and it will only go to 1500 if your ISP lets it as has been said.......as always have good copy of Reg if you use this optimizer:)

By defult windows has MTU detection on, so it will find it for you, thats why i suggest to click delete cablenut tweaks and reboot, so all values is set to defult when you run that TCP analyzer

So when it says 1400 as MTU i dont think you can overide it, but like MICROWAVE said you can always try, remember to backup your current resgistry settings before using that tool

No, try other speedtests aswell, sometimes ppl has better route to www.dslreports.com testservers.

I think your RWIN is big enough for 3 Mbps, and also your MTU, too high RWIN will result in more unstable speed and more packetloss on bad routes.
