To use as gateway on a server i understand to use a router and make a gateway by rip or any routing protocol by just specifiying the nework or by (ip route).
but how do i set it up with a dual homed server

Depends on the OS, but it's relatively simple.  For Windows Server 2003, you just need two network cards in the server.  Connect one card to the cable/dsl/fios connection and set the ip address, gateway, netmask and DNS servers to automatic unless you received a static ip address.  Then connect the other card to the internal network and set a private ip address and netmask.  The internal network clients just point to the server internal ip as their gateway.

DNS is a different issue.  You can either install DNS on the multi home server or point the server and clients to your isp DNS servers.

Yeah but ,i'm talking a default gateway to another internal network in the same lan (like to go to a different subnet)
