ya i did all of that, but it did not work. i even tried to switch to usb but it still was like slow so i think im going to call my gay isp of verizon.


P.S im on window xp home with SP2
oh yeah when i restart my modem it goes fine for like 5 minutes, then it gradually goes slower

If you haven't gotten a new modem already, you might try aiming a small fan at the back of the modem.  I had one for a short while that would act somewhat the same, but was noticably worse on hot days.  The fan idea got me by for a few weeks while I was waiting on a replacement
