::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 5296 Kbps about 5.3 Mbps (tested with 1496 KB)
Download Speed is:: 646 kB/s
Tested From::
http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 95 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 1.59 second(s)
Validation Link::
http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=K09TVWSEK
My connection has been up and down like a mofo!
I don't know if its because there working on the lines around here, or
that my connection is retarded.. Hopefully I can hold this speed this time..
Oh for all you with Cox.net and have a Toshiba modem..The Tier 2 tech told me that some of there modems I think he was talking about Toshiba modems are not able to support the new broadband increases.. Which I think could be true because I have the Toshiba PCX 1100u and the Toshiba PCX 2200 and I have been getting shiet lately.. He said that the Motorola Modems seemed to be holding the Upgraded broadband services better. Guess I'll just have to find out..

*puts Basik on the hitlist*
Damn nice speeds man, even if they aren't as consistent as one would want them to be.

Huh?
My experience with Cox has been great speeds, and I don't even think we have had but a few people complaints about Cox. I'm interested on what do you base your statement?? I pay $39.95 per month for 4000/512 I was just raised for free from 3000/256,and I consider that a fair price when you consider dial-up from AOL is over $20.00 per month

I have read quite a few (more then id like to have
) comments, complaints, etc from people on other forums, dslreports.com, etc. And the website advertised prices for the speeds are horrid..

I have NEVER had a complaint about *Cox*. If I've ever needed help they helped me and I'm getting what I pay for as well. I too just upgraded to the 4000/512 for 39.95mth. At least they don't charge like other Cable ISP's do.

It fluctuates more the faster your connection, if the initial negotiation is very fast then your score is going to usually be pimp, but even a 1/2 lag can hurt your score... but with a real large download it is going to be the most accurate because your connection throttles down after the inital burst. But even the 3MB test (if you are over 3-4Mbps) should show you weather or not your connection is running to par
