Im on the 1,500/384 plan from my isp and im not getting the results

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 1100 Kbps about 1.1 Mbps (tested with 386 KB)
Download Speed is:: 134 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 20 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 7.64 second(s)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=ABHE0CQB9

Upload is fine, but the download is on the bad side. Since its not 90% of my advertised (1350), maybe there would be a way to increase it.

I used cablenut and the speeds did increase from about 1000 to the 1100. Illupload my cablenut settings, and Van, could you please examine them and tell me what i can fix? Thanks Smile

hey Marcin

your cablenut settings is not the one i made, these settings is from cablenut team´s custom files.

I modifyed all of cablenut custom files and maked a vanburens_cablenutsettings.zip

unzip this to your cablenut folder.

Now do like this

1 open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks, reboot your pc
2 run this TCP analyzer http://forums.speedguide.net:8117/
3 find MSS value eg 1452
4 open adjuster, in top left corner click file, click open custom settings file, browse to C:\Program\Cablenut\VanBurens cablenut settings\WinXP_2K_CABLE_DSL and choose the folder that your MSS has.
5 dubble click on the file that suit your advertised speed
6 Now you have some values set in adjuster, click save to registry+reboot
7 try a speedtest again and post result

good luck

i would leave it like that then, remember that no speedtest is 100% accurate

try other speedtests aswell, www.dslreports.com has some good tests.
