why do i display 2 ip address now?

i went to whatismyip.com and i have a different ip shown there than what is shown on my network connections properties now. Is this normal/?

your network connections probably show an ip like 192.168.xxx.xxx while the online ip is different. that's because the one your comp has is the one it uses to connect to the modem while the one seen online is the one your modem is assigned by your isp.

Go to start menu>run and type in cmd
Now type in the command window 'ipconfig /release' minus the quotes then retype 'ipconfig /renew' and give us feedback on your results.

lol, your probably looking at the wrong ip or your ip address can even change if your isp does not release you a static ip address

The address shown on whatismyip.com is your external IP address, the one you use on the internet. The other one, most likely 192.168.n.n is your LAN address, which is used just inside your lan.
