I recently bought an hp pavillion a810n .. the processor is amd athlon  3300 + and that processor is supposed to run at 2.4GHz i believe...

When i go into control panel and click system it says 1.8GHz....Also on the sticker on my comp is says 2.4 GHz...

What could be wrong???     evil    angry5

CPU or memory frequency must be corrected in the bios

How would i go about doing that.. i know how to access BIOS but what do i do once in there?

usually go to advanced features, and check you memory frequency should de a 133 MHz, also in con be a jumper in the mobo

if the sticker says 2.4 or 2400+ then it is at the speed it is built  to be at i have an amd athlon xp 2400+ and it speed is 1995-2000

I solved the problem, my computer has cool and quiet technology which makes it stay at 1.8 and it increases when the computer feels i need it... i just turned taht off and its  on 2.41 constantly
